Our little babe: 6 months old

Cullen is growing beautifully. He is six months and thriving. Sometimes I literally stare at him and wonder why Heavenly Father gave Kevin and I such a perfect little baby. He is healthy, sweet, smart, and easy. The only things I can figure is that I could not handle a more difficult baby :), and that Cullen is meant to do great things in the world. Therefore, God has blessed him immensely in order to carry thost things out. Either way, I am humbled to be his mother, and humbled to share the gift of raising him with such a dignified, humble, and patient man: Kevin.

Photos from October, 2011

Photo 1. Here are  couple of photos from this past month. The first is of my wonderful friend Katie holding Cullen. Ok, she is a professional photographer so I get that she's talented. But how she managed to take this picture herself and for it to have turned out so well? I don't know!

Photo 2. The second photo is of my dad's father, Grandpa Jim (far left), my Dad holding Cullen, my grandpa's wife Alice (not my grandma--his wonderful second wife since my grandma's passing), and me. This was the first time Grandpa Jim and Alice met the little babe.

Photo 3. This is a fall photo taken across the street from my dad's house. What a beautiful backdrop we had.

Photo 4. No explanation needed.

I made up a Halloween joke

A-billybear4kids-pandahalloween
So I have an interest in making up jokes that one might find on a Dixie Cup--But the problem is that they are so bad that they would never actually make it onto a Dixie Cup. This one, however, is worth sharing. (Kevin is my judge, by the way. He has no problem with being the gatekeeper as far as what jokes I broadcast and what jokes we both try and forget about.) So, here goes!

Q: What does a panda bear say on Halloween?

A: Bam-BOO!

The Re-ooooooOOOOOOO-nion! Beware . . . this is scary! (Well, sort of.)

Last month Kevin and I took our first cross-country adventure with our little man to Long Island, NY for a family reunion (my mom's side). It was a blast! One night we found ourselves perched near the beach on patio chairs we'd pulled up to watch fireworks. Well, the fireworks never came (we missed the memo that they were cancelled). The lot of us were in desperate need of entertainment, so this is what we came up with! Enjoy! (From left to right, as the video progresses: Sweetie Pie (my maternal grandmother), my mom Louise, my aunt Lynn, my cousin Carol, Cullen, Kevin, my cousin Mike, my sister's fiance Dave, my Uncle Jack, my sister Cassie, and me.)

Our little rapper

For those of you who have not met him, this is Dave. My sister Cassie's

fiance!!!!!! I am SO excited for Dave to officially join our family. He proposed earlier this month and we could not be more thrilled for the two of them. There is no wedding date yet, but they will tie the knot sometime in 2012. Anyway, this video was taken on our latest vacation to Long Island, New York. Enjoy!
